Why I became a Holistic Nutritionist

Growing up, I was frequently sick with illnesses that lasted for weeks at a time, along with chronic symptoms like allergies, asthma, eczema, “benign cysts,” migraines, and fatigue—things I believed were a normal part of life. At the time, I deeply trusted the medical system. After a severe car accident, my perspective began to shift. During my recovery, I encountered medical negligence that revealed many doctors prioritized profit over those in need of help. This experience planted the seeds of mistrust in the medical system.

Later, I began experiencing gut health issues, which grabbed my attention by showing up as cystic acne, making me feel very insecure. Doctors prescribed antibiotics and risky medications, but these only made things worse. Over time, I developed candida overgrowth (which partly showed up as fungal folliculitis - MORE ACNE 🙄!), food allergies, leaky gut, and later down the line SIBO, causing numerous uncomfortable symptoms. Despite seeking help from multiple doctors, I wasn’t given proper tools or guidance to heal. Every doctor I went to didn’t seem to know how to help me and didn’t seem bothered to try to figure out how to help me.

I had to take my health into my own hands as I was desperate to heal these problems. I spent years researching, learning, and developing targeted protocols to heal my gut and restore my health – with my primary focus being clearing my skin. Through these protocols, alongside dietary changes, toxin elimination, and lifestyle adjustments, I resolved the candida overgrowth, repaired my gut, and overcame many chronic symptoms I thought were lifelong conditions.

Through this journey, I became very fascinated by and passionate about holistic health. I also realize how many people are in a similar position that I have been in—struggling with symptoms, finding no real answers, and spending thousands of dollars throwing darts at the wall to see what sticks. It became clear that my purpose is to help others navigate overcoming health challenges by addressing the root cause (which can vary person to person).

I believe and have the firsthand experience that our bodies are designed to heal when we provide the right support: nutritious food, personalized protocols, mindful habits, and self-love. I also believe that our health is deeply tied to the health of the planet. By making sustainable, conscious choices, we can heal ourselves while protecting the earth for future generations. And I am excited and grateful to be a part of a new leaf turning towards a healthier and happier future of humanity and the planet.
